This dataset is intended to represent the physical location of structures within Jefferson County. Situs numbers are given based on a 100 increments per mile interval with the county origin being in the southwest corner of the county.

Structures are primarily used in conjunction with emergency dispatch systems, but are also used for notifications, cartographic purposes, and are also useful for development and planning analysis purposes. The actual coordinate represents as close to the center of the structure as possible, and in most cases will be within about 20 feet.
