Why was the data set created?

The centerline file was originally created to facilitate the Canyon County Sheriff's Office in Caldwell, ID in making their Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system functional. The Centerline file is currently edited and utilized via SDE by Canyon County Sheriff's Office, Caldwell, ID, City of Nampa, ID,  City of Caldwell, ID, and Nampa Highway district 1.
